Doors and other new stuff

We are engaged!

Just wanted to post a quick update, Steve asked me to marry him on Friday night. He took me to the same place we went on our first date. It was so perfect, and one of the happiest moments in my life.

Family room curtains

A small change in the family room made a huge difference. It feels so much closer to being finished. I ordered the curtains to be long enough to go from the ceiling to the floor, because according to my mom (and HGTV), this is the new stylish thing to do. We like it a lot, and are happy with the green and brown in the room. Currently looking for a pattern or textured fabric to cover the bay window seat, the plaid definitely does not go with our style.

Carpet and guest room

The carpet was installed this weekend, and it looks great. We are very happy with the color and quality that we picked.
We started moving some stuff upstairs, and got the guest bedroom partly set up. It still needs a new door, new closet doors, registers, curtains, and decorations on the walls. Here's a couple pictures. I love my new bedspread set!

Big Step!

I am so excited that we are getting the upstairs carpet installed this weekend!!! We got a great deal.
While we were at the store, we started looking at some hardwood flooring options for the first floor. After some pricing discussion and reviewing a couple different options we decided to get the living room, dining room, and foyer done in a beautiful mocha hardwood. We think it is going to look great, and it will be a huge relief to have it done because we can start moving furniture into the house and placing everything where we want it.
I will definitely have some pictures up after the installation this weekend, so stay tuned.
